Cloud Infrastructure Engineer
Build, provision, and maintain cloud infrastructure that supports enterprise deployment environments with production-grade reliability and security.
Quix is looking for a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design and operate the infrastructure foundations that enterprise delivery depends on. This role is for someone with hands-on depth in cloud platform services, infrastructure as code, networking, and security hardening — who can build environments that are repeatable, auditable, and resilient.
What You’ll Do
- Design and provision cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP using infrastructure as code: Terraform, Bicep, or Pulumi.
- Build and manage networking layers: VPCs, subnets, DNS, load balancing, private endpoints, and firewall rules.
- Establish security baselines: identity and access management, encryption at rest and in transit, secret management, and compliance alignment.
- Support multi-environment deployment patterns: dev, staging, production, and disaster recovery configurations.
- Optimize cloud cost profiles through right-sizing, reserved capacity planning, and usage monitoring.
- Collaborate with DevOps and SRE teams to ensure infrastructure supports reliable delivery and operational readiness.
- Document infrastructure patterns, runbooks, and configuration standards clearly.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong production experience with at least one major cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency with infrastructure as code tools: Terraform, Bicep, CloudFormation, or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of cloud networking, identity management, and security architecture.
- Experience with container platforms: Kubernetes, AKS, EKS, or GKE.
- Ability to build reproducible, auditable infrastructure environments for enterprise and regulated contexts.
- Clear documentation habits and operational discipline.
Nice to Have
- Cloud architecture certifications: AWS Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect, or GCP Professional Cloud Architect.
- Experience with FinOps practices and cloud cost governance frameworks.
- Background in compliance-aligned infrastructure: SOC 2, ISO 27001, PIPEDA, or equivalent.
Infrastructure quality directly determines platform uptime, deployment reliability, and security posture. Well-designed cloud infrastructure reduces operational incidents, shortens deployment lead times, and provides the stable foundation on which enterprise applications and integrations can be built with confidence.
