Product Engineer — Enterprise Tools

Full-timeToronto / Montréal / Remote (Canada)

Build internal enterprise applications and workflow tools that improve operational efficiency, data access, and process reliability for enterprise clients.

Role overview

Quix is looking for a Product Engineer with the instincts to build tools that people actually use. This role is for someone who combines strong engineering capability with product-minded judgment — someone who can understand the workflows, pain points, and operational requirements of enterprise users, and translate that understanding into applications that are reliable, well-structured, and genuinely useful in day-to-day operations.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and build internal enterprise applications: workflow management tools, data interfaces, reporting surfaces, and operational dashboards.
  • Collaborate with solutions architects and clients to understand user workflows, operational requirements, and integration needs.
  • Implement data connections, API integrations, and workflow automation that power enterprise tool functionality.
  • Ensure tool reliability, maintainability, and appropriate access control design from the outset.
  • Conduct user-facing discovery and usability review to align implementation with actual operational needs.
  • Build with operational handoff in mind: documentation, configuration management, and support readiness.
  • Iterate on deployed tools based on operational feedback and changing enterprise requirements.

What We’re Looking For

  • Strong full-stack engineering experience with a track record of shipping tools that enterprise users depend on.
  • Proficiency in React and TypeScript for front-end surfaces alongside Node.js, .NET, or Python for back-end integration layers.
  • Experience connecting application UIs to enterprise data sources: APIs, databases, and event streams.
  • Understanding of role-based access, audit logging, and security patterns relevant to enterprise tools.
  • Product instincts: ability to prioritize features based on user impact rather than technical interest.
  • Ability to work with limited specification and produce clear, functional software from ambiguous requirements.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with low-code or configuration-driven application frameworks for internal tooling.
  • Background in workflow automation: Power Automate, Zapier, or equivalent enterprise automation platforms.
  • Experience delivering tools in regulated industries where compliance and audit trail requirements apply.
How this role creates impact

Enterprise teams often work with inadequate tooling — using spreadsheets, workarounds, and manual processes where purpose-built applications would reduce error and improve throughput. The tools built in this role directly improve operational quality for the people who depend on them daily.
