Senior Back-End Platform Engineer
Design and build the APIs, services, and data flows that power Quix enterprise platforms and integration layers.
Quix is looking for a Senior Back-End Platform Engineer to build reliable, well-structured service layers that enterprise systems depend on. This role is for someone who brings strong judgment on API design, service boundaries, data flow architecture, and the operational realities of running complex back-end systems in production.
What You’ll Do
- Design and build RESTful and event-driven APIs for enterprise platform and integration use cases.
- Define service boundaries, data contracts, and integration patterns across distributed system components.
- Build data processing pipelines and workflow automation layers that move and transform enterprise data.
- Implement authentication, authorization, and audit patterns appropriate for enterprise environments.
- Optimize for performance, reliability, and horizontal scalability under enterprise-scale load profiles.
- Collaborate with front-end engineers and integration architects to establish clean API contracts.
- Support observability integration: structured logging, distributed tracing, alerting, and incident readiness.
What We’re Looking For
- Strong production experience building back-end services in Node.js, .NET, Python, Go, or equivalent.
- Deep understanding of REST API design, event-driven architecture, and asynchronous processing patterns.
- Experience with relational and non-relational data stores and their appropriate use cases.
- Comfort designing for reliability, idempotency, retry logic, and failure isolation.
- Ability to work effectively across distributed teams and communicate technical decisions clearly.
- Strong testing discipline: unit, integration, and contract testing for production services.
Nice to Have
- Experience with Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or similar event streaming platforms.
- Background in OAuth 2.0 and OpenID Connect for enterprise identity integration.
- Experience with Kubernetes-based deployment or container orchestration.
The services built in this role carry enterprise data flows, automation workflows, and platform integrations that clients depend on operationally. Reliability and clear API contracts at the platform layer reduce integration complexity, shorten delivery timelines, and improve the operational confidence of enterprise deployments.
